What comes into your mind when you think about what makes a great leader?
Hopefully the first thing that comes into your mind is not a what, but a who! Jesus makes a great leader. But, what are some of the essential qualities we should be asking Jesus to help us develop if we are going to lead others the way He wants us to?
That’s an important question for several reasons. First, at some level you are going to be a leader. Second, you certainly are influenced by leaders. And third, your expectations as a follower will have some influence on your leaders as well.
We need to emphasize the right qualities when we talk about leadership.
And that’s not always easy because what Jesus looks for in a leader is so different than the world.
So this Sunday we are going to look at one of the most impactful spiritual leaders in the history of the world and ask, what exactly made him such a powerful leader? We’ll see three qualities that are highlighted throughout the Bible’s description of his life that are key to leading God’s way and not typical at all of the way people normally think about what makes a great leader.
I am excited.
Come ready! Come expectant! Come praying!

For the younger children this Sunday, you can have them listen for the word, “*Peter.*” To encourage them, Marda will have some treats afterward.
We will begin our Pastor’s Q and A Podcast again very soon. You can help us by sending in questions you might have. They can be really about any biblically related kind of issue. We got one good question recently that we are thinking about. But we would like more. We especially love questions about applying the Bible to our lives. But, they could also be questions about the church as well. We want to serve you as well as we possibly can. So, if you have any questions you would like the pastors here at CBC to discuss on the podcast, please talk to Will Lau or contact us.
