This world is broken. We are the ones who broke it. And it’s clear, we can’t fix it.
Merry Christmas!
No, seriously. Merry Christmas.
This is part of what makes Christmas such an exciting holiday. We are remembering that God sent His own Son into the world to do what we cannot. As John explains, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” Let’s be praying that God helps us enjoy Jesus and what He has accomplished through Jesus in the middle of the busyness of the season .
To help you do that, we are going to be looking at chapter 3 of Luke this Sunday and listening to what God the Father has to say about Jesus. It’s going to be significant. When God rips the heavens open and talks, we ought to listen. One thing that might be a little surprising however, is that when God speaks he quotes Scripture. Anyway, that’s enough of a sneak peek. You’ll have to join us to find out more.
Come ready! Come expectant! Come praying!

I’ve included some things in the sermon brief document that I think will help you and your children benefit from the message this Sunday. Check them out. Print out what’s helpful. Or perhaps you can come up with a better plan yourself. For the younger children this Sunday, you can have them listen for the words, “baptism” or “Spirit” or “son.” To encourage them, my wife Marda will have some treats afterward.
