So, you are pretty religious.
Is that good? Is that bad?
This Sunday we are going to look at Luke 5:33-39 and see one big difference between the way the Pharisees thought of religious activity and Jesus did. As we do, I pray you will see Christianity is a whole lot better than simply more religious and that you will be challenged to look at what you are doing and make sure that you are engaging in religious activity in a way that pleases Jesus and is good for you.
To help you make the most out of Sunday messages, I’ve made some changes to the sermon brief I normally send out.
It includes some things to do before you come on Sunday, some things to do while you are at church, and then some things to do afterwards.
Please take some time to print it out and look through it.
Come ready! Come expectant! Come praying!
Joshua
For the younger children this Sunday, you can have them listen for the word, “religious.” To encourage them, Marda will have some treats afterward.
We had a great discussion on the Pastor’s Podcast this week. Will has helped us by making short clips of each question we discussed. Check it out here. On the Family Matters podcast this week, I talked about making marriage a priority and the need for working hard at it. Check it out here. If you are being helped, let me know. You might even give a rating on our Apple podcast channel. Apparently that helps others know about it. Also if you have questions you would like me to address, give me an email.
